Roberto Verino Open Day: Autumn/Winter Collection 2012-2013

Last May I had the opportunity to assist to Roberto Verino Open Day where the Autumn/ Winter Collection 2012-2012 was released to fashion professionals.

Roberto Verino make references in this collection to New York, the city that tribute him on the 25th Anniversary of the firm. His designs inspired by the Great Gatsby with its eccentric characters, disinhibition, glamor, has the 20's New York's spirit Implicit in it.

It is a privilege to look closely at a couture collection as Roberto Verino. Last February, I had the opportunity to attend to Roberto Verino's Fashion Show Fall/Winter 2012-2013 collection at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid and although I enjoyed seeing the collection on the catwalk, I can assure you that having the clothes in your hands is something completely different: the textures, materials, finishes of each piece handmade denote the detail and quality as a common denominator designer creations.

The must's of Roberto Verino Autumn/Winter Collection are: The two-piece female suits in herringbone tweed with metallic finishes. Coats and jackets in mohair, alpaca and velvet. Hair finishes are very present in all applications and garments. The animal print is again the star of this season in blouses and wide silk dresses, as well as the female tuxedos and cocktail dresses in embroidered chiffon. For him, alpaca coats; masculine tailoring impeccable in flannel and tweed. Parkas and coats with broad applications in hair.

Attending to Roberto Verino's Open Day and learning more about his creations left me with a mad desire to get to have in my wardrobe a garment like that someday. Good news! The 25 best looks of the parade will form the Black Label Collection Fall-Winter 2012/2013 and will be available in the flagship stores of Roberto Verino. My favorite without a doubt: the White hair coat. What about you? Which one is your favourite?
